OSRS early game money making guide
On a fresh or low-level account, the highest GP/hr on the Wiki is usually out of reach. You need a money maker your stats, quests and cash stack can support now. Some methods give XP. Others are worth doing long enough to pay for runes, teleports or quest items before you get back to training.
There is no official early-game cutoff. We start with the method’s highest skill req, then move it later when a quest, area, tool or risky setup makes it harder to start. The ranges below describe the method, not your combat level or total level.
The highest skill req is usually 1–20, with little setup.
Usually needs a 21–40 skill or an early quest, area or tool.
Usually needs a 41–60 skill, a longer trip or more setup.
A method with no skill req can still need a quest, specific account state or gear.
These examples cover fresh, starter and progressing account stages. They are not personalized recommendations and may still need quests, items, gear or area access checked in game.

A high GP/hr number is useless if you are missing the quest, item or area that makes the method work. The finder separates methods you can start from methods that still need an in-game check or a few more levels.
Loading a username checks public Hiscores. It cannot see your quests, bank, inventory, diaries, gear or new-account trade restrictions.
Enter 0 on a fresh account with an empty cash stack. Gathering methods with no GE input can still appear. Processing methods stay out of Ready now until you can afford the first batch.
Banked items are not valued, and a profitable estimate does not guarantee an instant fill. Test a small batch before committing the cash you need for teleports, runes or training.
Choose F2P to see free-world methods only. Members includes both Members and F2P methods, then checks your cash, stats, effort and Wilderness setting.
Open the F2P finder for every free-world method, including methods outside this early-game list.
Members quests and skills open more options. Check every quest, item and area req before buying supplies.
Open the AFK finder if time between clicks matters more than account stage.
Open all money makers when you are ready to compare the full list.
There is no single best method for every early-game account. Your best option depends on your stats, cash stack, F2P or Members access and preferred effort. Ready now ranks the live options that fit.
Yes. Enter 0 as your cash stack. Gathering or collection methods with no Grand Exchange input can still appear when they fit your other settings.
Hiscores can confirm stats, but not quests, banked items, gear or area access. Check the requirement shown on the card before buying supplies.
No. A combat 3 account can have high non-combat stats, and a higher-combat account can still be missing key quests. The finder uses method requirements and setup instead of one combat-level cutoff.
No. This page assumes a main account can buy inputs and sell outputs on the Grand Exchange. Ironman money making needs a separate supply and value model.
Use your current stats and cash stack to find a method you can start.
